MOSCOW — If it wasn't already clear that Russia is an increasingly important market for high-end automobiles, Lexus proved it by its decision to launch the new LS 460 AWD here at the 2008 Moscow Auto Show on August 26.

The LS 460 AWD uses the same all-wheel-drive system as in the LS 600h L, with a Torsen limited-slip differential. Its engine is the same 4.6-liter V8 engine as in the current LS 460, paired with the same eight-speed automatic transmission.

Lexus says the new model will go on sale alongside its siblings, the LS 460 and LS 460L, this fall.
