Review

I was hesitant about buying an H3. Wasn't sure if I liked the look of it. But, when I actually saw it pull in my driveway, then took it for a cruise, I was IN LOVE. This is an awesome SUV. Cannot imagine driving anything else! And here I thought I wanted a BMW lol

Favorite Features

The looks, the color is not a plain silver, ubut a different shade on the unusual side. Real attention grabber too, if that's what your looking for. I get compliments and stares everywhere I go!

Suggested Improvements

I'm tiny, so perhaps a better visibility when backing up, but there are larger mirrors, so not a major deal for me

Traded in my Avalanche for new H3. Much better mileage and the style really turns heads. Much easier to park and more agile. Maybe a little underpowered but rides great on the highway and off-road is supreme. Worth a look if you want a smaller SUV. Plan on trips with 4 people or less, 5 is crowded.

Favorite Features

Large sunroof is great. Stereo is better than my Lexus LX470 was. Interior design is very good. Exterior design really draws attention.

Suggested Improvements

More power would be better while keeping mileage at 20 or better. Window controls too far back, not enough cup holders and storage in front. Integral garage door opener should be standard on all vehicles.

This is car is sooo slow trying to drive it around a city you might as well walk or risk being rear ended. The H3 so uncomfortable. it's loud, tippy and drives like a milk truck, it had 1,800 miles and looked as if it had 40,000 the interior was already falling apart. Ohter than that the fuel economy's not bad and it looks like a baby H2 if you like that sort of thing buy anything else

Interior surfaces and dash layout crap, powertrain total crap, ths car made me so car sick i got out and kicked it

Review

We did not intend to buy a Hummer, but the test drive surpassed any other vehicle priced the same or higher. Fuel economy on this car is much better than many other trucks we looked at. The biggest obstacle we ran into is other people's ignorance of this fine auto. Within the first 24 hours of purchase we were chastized twice by stangers for having a gas hog (not true), people assume we paid much more than the car retails for (I agree it looks like it should), and a cruiser called in our plate. This car will attract a lot of attention and not all of it positive, which is unfortunate because these issues are not valid. Without reservation I highly recommend this vehicle in all respects.

Favorite Features

Great fuel economy for the size. It does better than my PT Cruiser. The ride is comfortable, quiet, and pick up was not an issue with five cylinders. We think the HP is just fine the way it is. This is a very safe car.

Suggested Improvements

More up front storage space. Also, Hummer needs to get the word out that this car can successfully compete with mid-sized SUVs in price and fuel economy.

I love my vehicle, I did have an engine problem that was resolved .It is great in the snow and handles well..Visibility is less than I expected..overall..very nice vehicle.would like to see a diesel offered.

Own it now about 8 months, looks great, nice ride, great sound system as long as it's just using CD's and this is the optional system, 1,100 dollars !!! I can't understand the folks here getting 20 + miles per gallon On the Hi- way I'm lucky in getting 16 mpg . My lease is up in 2 1/2 yrs. thank GOD Only thing i can say it that it does ride nice and looks great interior has some issues, IF you're looking to purchase one remember gas will be about $3.75 by the end on the summer

Loaded 2006 Hummer H3

We've had our new H3 for a month now and love it. We bought one completely loaded, LUX pkg, offroad pkg, navigation, homelink, locking rear differential, and dual dvd's in the headrest. We're averaging 15-19 mpg like the sticker says. We love driving it and would highly recommend this over anything else in its price range.

Favorite Features

The Hummer dvd's in the headrest are awesome and great for roadtrips. The navigation system is also very neat. It even showed dirt roads that weren't on regular maps.

Suggested Improvements

We have found a couple of things that need improvement at the factory. 1st- Vibration in the dealer installed clearance lights. 2nd-Wind noise in the windshield area. Dealer did fix both problems yet we felt something like that should have been taken care of before reaching the consumer.

I have a toyota 4runner with 4.0l six cylinders engine it takes it 10.5 seconds from 0-60 miles, exactly how much it takes a five cylenders 3,5 L H3 to reach 60 miles/hour. it feels more comfortable in the H3, more special and eye catching as it is not all over the place (yet). the most beautiful thing is that you have loads of accessories to add, chrome handles, side steps, roof lamps etc, every month i can add something to it to make it more unique, i added a rear camera it is pretty usefull and solve the vision issue.next year i am planning to super charge it and then i will give it a 10/10

This is a go anywhere, over anything, fun ride. 20 mpg on the road. Heads turn when you roll down the road. Get one you will love it!

Off road package. If you want to go there is very little to stop you!
